FAQ

  • You’ve heard it before - the one thing people regret not having at their wedding is a videographer. But why? Wedding videographers / filmmakers offer a unique service. Photographers are fantastic at freezing moments, so they last forever. However, powerful storytelling through motion and sound is incredibly compelling, meaning that a beautifully crafted wedding film always becomes one of a couple’s most treasured possessions. Words aren’t able to do it justice. Take a look at our films.

  • Yes. A pre-wedding consultation is included with all bookings. We love to meet our couples before the wedding day so we can go over your schedule and get to know you more. Most of the time this is done via a video call but if we’re local we can do it in person.

  • Yes. Aerial footage is included in all our wedding film packages. We have all the required licences and insurance to operate a drone commercially. The use of the drone is dependent on local restrictions, weather and timing logistics on the day.

  • When deciding on your videographer, you should consider what you want from your wedding film. Do you just want everything captured and played back to you? or do you want to relive the emotions of your day? We think less is more. All our packages include a 4-7 minute highlight film. This is the main, creative edit of the day and it’s what you’ll have seen on our website. After filming and editing many weddings, we have found that this is the perfect length to tell the story of your wedding day in our creative style. It’s also perfect for sharing online and watching with friends and family.

  • When capturing your wedding, we aim to tell the full story of the day as a whole. We won’t necessarily film shots of EVERY moment or EVERY guest. We want to capture the atmosphere, the mood, the emotion. Before the wedding, we will have the chance to go over all the details of the day and whilst we will aim to capture these elements, we ask that you trust us to capture your wedding in the way that best tells the story. That’s why it’s really important that all our couples are completely on board with our style of work before booking.

  • We’ve developed a style over the years that we’re really proud of and we want it to be consistent throughout all our work so that couples can hire us and be confident in the style of films they will receive. It’s really important that you’re on board with our style of work before booking us.

If there’s another style of videography that you prefer, that is okay! But we’d recommend looking for a filmmaker who already creates that style of work.

  • We take the greatest care in the editing of your films and it is the largest part of the work involved. That being said, we try to ensure that your films will be ready within 16 weeks.

Please note that due to 2020’s postponements, we are filming a much larger amount of weddings at the moment, however, we are not outsourcing or rushing any edits so that all our films are as great as they can possibly be. This means that turnaround times are currently longer.

  • We have a very friendly, but discreet way of working when filming at weddings. One of the points that our previous couples often mention when recommending us is that we are never in the way and their guests always feel comfortable.

  • We’ll never ask couples to ‘perform’ for the camera. In our experience, film always looks at its finest when people look unposed and organic, so it's also in our own best interest to be unobtrusive when filming your day!

  • As soon as we finish filming a wedding, our footage is backed up on two different drives at the studio. The footage is then backed up to a drive off-site. This means that in the unlikely event that something happens to our studio, your wedding footage is always safe.

  • We provide both physical and digital delivery. All our packages are delivered in a custom hand-crafted package with prints from your film and a USB. You also get your own personal online page with all your films available to watch at any time.

  • We pay to use fully licensed music from independent producers online, so we won’t run into any copyright infringement and neither will you. The cost of licensing this music is included in our packages. We spend a lot of time choosing the music appropriate to tell your story. Please note that we sadly can’t use commercial music from big artists like Ed Sheeran. It’s illegal. Unless we pay him a lot of money.

  • It’s a £750 booking fee to secure the date and the remainder of your payment is due 1 month before the wedding date.

  • We love travelling for weddings. If your wedding is taking place a bit further away, then we will provide a quote for travel and accommodation. We do everything we can to make this as simple and affordable as possible for our couples. For venues that are over 2 hours travel time from Bournemouth (BH3), we may require overnight accommodation the night before and/or of the wedding depending on the timings of your day. The main reason for this is to avoid any long, stressful car journeys on the day of the wedding when timing is crucial and we need to feel refreshed and on top of our game!
